Meet The Author - Mary Laudien
Mary Laudien lives in Nanoose Bay with the deer and occasionally, her DEAR (husband Ryan). Her days are spent scooping up Bambi pellets and replanting shrubs the deer have feasted on as nightly appetizers. But most significantly as a dog-sitting grandma expert, she has a blast writing novels of puppy chaos and love.
As a former pet owner of a show dog Bichon, a neurotic Yorkshire Terrier, a crabby Schnauzer, and a loving Westie, Mary has had lots of experience with dogs and new puppies. Now as a Frenchie dog-sitter for her sons, she has time to enjoy the adorable personalities and funny antics of this breed!
More About Me
Having retired as an elementary school principal, Mary has spent her life with Ethan's age group and has insight into the workings of the adolescent brain. She plays on this age group's willingness to risk everything through devious means (or whatever it takes) to attain something they so desperately must have. She loves working with preteens and the absurd reality of this particular developmental stage is a tickler for her. Oh the craziness!
As well, raising her two sons as a single mom, gave Mary tons of experience dealing with the often chaotic, emotional and mostly hilarious life challenges at the middle years stage. The stories she could tell... maybe she is...
She gets a "high" from listening to readers talk about the belly laughs they have when reading her books. Entertaining and amusing all age groups with her novels and blogs is her reward.
